Center-based Tutoring

Our first tutoring center opened on Feb 7, 2007 in Canton, MI; and a second center opened on July 23, 2007 in Farmington, MI. Students in and around Detroit metro can use these facilities. Online Tutoring

Online tutoring is an excellent option for students who cannot attend our tutoring center, or prefer the convenience of at-home learning. Are you new to online tutoring? Take a tour and see how simple it is!

Method of Tutoring

The tutoring will be provided online using audio and data conferencing. To receive the tutoring, the student must have access to the following:

• A personal computer with a broad band Internet access
• Computer speakers and a microphone
• Optional digital tablet and pen mouse (see our recommended brand)

The tutoring will also use a shared white board software that would be available for free to the student. Instructions for obtaining and installing the required software will be provided to the student prior to the tutoring session.

Here are the primary steps in our process:

• Parent/guardian signs up for their student
• We assign a tutor to the student
• The first 1 on 1 tutoring session:
  - Includes 10 minutes of audio & white board set up
  - Optional initial assessment to identify the learning needs of the student
• Regularly scheduled 1 on 1 online tutoring sessions
• In addition to the live online tutoring, the tutor provides assignments and homework help
